Born in the Heart of Italy
Santoni’s story began in 1975 in Corridonia, in Italy’s Marche region, one of the country’s historic centers of shoemaking. Founder Andrea Santoni established his workshop with a simple ambition: to create uncompromising shoes, entirely made in Italy and built to last.
From the very beginning, the house distinguished itself through an unwavering attention to detail, the careful selection of exceptional leathers, and a relentless pursuit of quality.
Giuseppe Santoni’s Vision
In the early 1990s, Andrea’s son, Giuseppe Santoni, gradually took the helm of the family business. His vision was clear: preserve the artisanal soul of the brand while introducing it to an international audience.
As Santoni expanded into the world’s leading luxury capitals, it earned the trust of discerning clients across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. Yet despite its global success, every pair continues to be crafted in Italy, where highly skilled artisans uphold the house’s uncompromising standards.
Craftsmanship as a Signature
A Santoni shoe is the result of dozens of hours of meticulous work.
Every stage, from selecting the leather and cutting each piece to stitching, lasting, polishing, and the house’s Velatura, Santoni’s iconic hand-colouring technique is carried out with extraordinary precision.
This distinctive method has become one of Santoni’s defining signatures. Applied layer by layer, it creates a remarkable depth of color that cannot be replicated through industrial production. No two pairs are ever exactly alike, giving each creation its own character.
Heritage Meets Modernity
While Santoni first earned its reputation through classic dress shoes, the brand has gradually expanded its universe to include luxury sneakers, loafers, boots, leather goods, and accessories.
The design language remains timeless and understated, while technical innovations enhance comfort without compromising traditional craftsmanship. It is this balance between heritage and modernity that continues to attract both tailoring enthusiasts and a new generation drawn to refined Italian design.
More Than Just a Shoe
Over the decades, Santoni has become far more than a shoemaker.
The house represents a distinctly Italian vision of luxury: discreet, refined, and deeply rooted in human craftsmanship. Every creation reflects the time devoted to its making, the respect for exceptional materials, and the dedication of the artisans behind it.
Because the finest shoes are not simply made to be worn, they are made to accompany a lifetime!
